Access to Finance for refugees in the UK to cover the cost of UK re-accreditation and return to work.

RefuAid provide loans of up to £10,000 to cover the costs of UK licensing and training in order to convert qualifications gained in your home country to the UK equivalent and enable you to return to work.

RefuAid: Equal Access Loans may be used for: 

  • Short-Term (2 years or less) training

  • Exam fees with a professional governing association

  • Travel expenses to and from an exam

  • Qualification assessments

  • Professional Association Fees

  • Books and Course Materials

  • Living allowance during study time 

  • Other related expenses

*Please note we do not currently fund Masters degrees. 

Loan Repayment: 

  • You have up to six years to repay the loan

  • Loan repayment schedules are worked out individually with each applicant.

  • Your loan is administered by our loan partners Moneyline.


To be eligible for a RefuAid loan you must be supported by one of our Trusted Partner charities. Trusted Partners include; Breaking Barriers; Together Now; Say It Loud; Roots Move and others.
